FVCC is very proud to offer our students a number of institutional and non-institutional scholarship opportunities. Scholarships can be based on merit, financial need, or other criteria. FVCC is grateful to the many community donors who provide scholarship assistance to the students at FVCC. All students are encouraged to apply annually for all of the scholarships at FVCC. The application deadline is November 1, 2016.
FVCC Academic Scholarship. If you are degree seeking, have earned 30 credits at FVCC, and have a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA, then you may qualify for the FVCC Academic Scholarship. This scholarship will waive your tuition for two semesters and must be used within two years of establishing eligibility. For the application and/or more information, please stop by the Financial Aid Office.
Outside Scholarship Opportunities:
Gene Haas Foundation Scholarship. Available to students that are enrolled and pursuing a degree in the Advanced Manufacturing programs of study.
Whitefish Soroptimists offer Award and Scholarship:
Soroptimist International of Whitefish is looking for qualified applicants for the following awards:
Live Your Dream Award: To be eligible for the Live Your Dream Award the woman must: be a woman with primary financial responsibility for supporting their family, attend or have been accepted to a vocational/skills training program, or an undergraduate degree program and have a financial need. The award may be used for tuition, books, supplies or other costs related to her education. The recipient will also become eligible to receive more money in regional and international Soroptimist competitions. The local award is $2000. The application is due November 15, 2016.
Past Presidents Scholarship: This scholarship is for women graduates of Whitefish High School, Whitefish Independent High School and Columbia Falls High School. They must be in their sophomore, junior or senior year of college, pursuing a major/degree/career which will help women and children, have a financial need and a cumulative college GPA of 3.0 or higher. The award is $2000. The application must be received by December 10, 2016.
MTCC Civic Engagement Scholarship:
Launched in the fall of 2015, MTCC’s Civic Engagement Scholarship honors the contributions college students make to community life in Montana and beyond. These $1000 scholarships utilize funds raised at the Garden City Triathlon, and are awarded to current students who had completed at least one year of college at an MTCC affiliate campus in good standing. The scholarship recognizes students who have completed a significant community-based service effort, while pursuing a degree or certificate.
