Flathead Valley Community College is now accepting applications for spring entry into the Practical Nursing program. The deadline for application submissions is November 18 at 4 p.m. FVCC’s Practical Nursing program can be completed in one year. Graduates earn a Certificate of Applied Science.
Students who will have completed all of the required prerequisite courses by the end of fall semester with a minimum grade point average of 2.50 in those courses are eligible to apply for admission into the program. Prerequisite courses are listed in FVCC’s 2016-17 Academic Catalog. Admission criteria include: the applicant’s grade point average for required prerequisite courses, letters of reference and a cover letter or essay. Top applicants will be asked to participate in small group interviews as part of the initial selection process. Final acceptance requires passing a background check, proof of required immunizations and proof of current personal health insurance.
New students are required to complete the FVCC application for admission and follow the steps for enrolling, including submitting official transcripts if transfer credits are to be considered.
